SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Satellite Healthcare, a leading national not-for-profit provider of kidney dialysis services, announced today that Satellite Healthcare of Sunnyvale has been named the recipient of the national 2015 ESRD Patient Safety Improvement Award from the Renal Physicians Association (RPA).

The RPA, dedicated since its creation in 1973 to representing and serving nephrology practitioners in their pursuit and delivery of quality renal health care, established the award to recognize nephrology practices or facilities that exhibit significant improvements in patient safety and also promulgate the goals of the RPA ESRD Patient Safety Initiative. Satellite Healthcare of Sunnyvale is being recognized for achieving remarkable outcomes following the implementation of initiatives to decrease vascular infiltrations and at-home patient falls.
