AJKD (October, 2011): To foster consistent SCysC results, the International Federation for Clinical Chemists (IFCC) working group for SCysC standardization and the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements collaborated to produce and characterize a certified reference material.3,4 This material, ERM-DA471/IFCC, was made available in fall 2010. Here, we report on the re-expression of previously reported estimated GFR (eGFR) equations for use with SCysC values traceable to ERM-DA471/IFCC.
